From childhood, Diane was drawn to art, filling her notebooks with sketches and doodles. Though she spent years as a schoolteacher, incorporating art into her lessons, it wasn’t until her early retirement that she fully immersed herself in painting.
Diane’s artistic foundation was shaped by her studies at U.S.L. (University of Louisiana at Lafayette), where she participated in the Gumbo U program, completed two semesters of drawing under Elmo Morgan, and pursued additional coursework toward an art degree.
